Welcome to Pufferfish!
We are a Foundation Stage 2 Class.
Our Teacher is Mrs Wells
Our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Huggins, Miss Cashmore and Miss Spooner.
Max the Monkey, our class mascot is looking forward to having lots of fun spending time with each of the Pufferfish when he goes for sleepovers at weekends.
Our Forest School day is Monday. Please ensure your child has a named set of waterproofs and wellington boots.
Our PE day is Thursday. Thank you for ensuring all items of PE kit are named and in school.
This half term we will be learning about;
'What Would we Find in an Enchanted Wood?'
We will be reading stories such as 'Where the Wild Things are' to encourage independent writing. In Maths we will be ordering numbers and naming 'one more/less than' as well as learning to name and describe 2D and 3D shapes. We will focus on recognising and making teen numbers.
We will also be doing lots of painting, drawing, building with construction and junk modelling and enjoying our outside learning environment.
We value the time you spend reading with your child and talking about books. Your child will soon have a reading record book and either a reading book or a sheet of sounds to practise and learn. If your child reads at home or practises their sounds 3 times in a week at home they will receive a sticker. Please ensure you record this in their reading record.
Waterbottles should be named and should only contain water.
If you need to speak to your child’s class teacher it is best to talk to them or make an appointment with them after school.
Do not hesitate to speak to us if you have any questions or queries.
