About Us
The school opened in this building in 1970 as Caister Infant School but in 1979 it was re-designated as a first school. In September 2008 it reverted back to being an infant school. The age range of the school is from 3-7 years but there are 8 places available for 2 year olds in the Nursery as part of our day care provision. The school in combination with the Children’s Centre is open from 8 in the morning until 6 in the evening and we provide a Breakfast Club and an After School Club. We have a purpose built library and ICT suite and interactive whiteboards in every classroom including the Nursery.
The real qualities of the school lie in a wide variety of areas. It provides a purposeful and secure learning enviroment for every child.
A broad view is taken of learning in which the personal, social and emotional development of children is seen to be equally important as the academic and intellectual aspects of their education.
